Jon D. Anderson
Experience
Jon Anderson has over 20 years of progressive sales and new business generation experience in the medical device, bioscience, IT infrastructure, engineering services and instrumentation sectors. He has a long record of rapid turnarounds and sustainable revenue generation accomplishments along with expertise in strategic planning, development of sales programs and teams, revenue amplification through process alignment and tactical partnering.
Currently serving as President of Sidehill Consulting, LLC, Jon applies his extensive hands-on experience assisting clients in achieving sustainable revenue growth utilizing existing resources. Jon has served the majority of his career in senior level sales and business development roles in situations including undercapitalized start-ups, mid-sized companies in plateau, and large corporations in recovery.
Jon's experience includes industry leaders such as Radio Frequency Investigation, CSA International, and Pall Corporation. In recent assignments, Jon has re-positioned a strategically critical territory for 100% growth in monthly gross sales in just 4 months for a medical device consumables manufacturer. He also repaired ailing relationships while reinstating agreements with key accounts, and securing $3M+ in annual revenues all in just 6 months for a major supplier in the bioscience R&D sector.
Jon began his career in the 1980's in California's Silicon Valley, assisting a variety of technology-based firms by identifying and removing product performance and regulatory barriers to market. Some of his accomplishments in business development roles at that time included identifying and generating 30% ($1.5M) in new revenues for a new operating division in the first 6 months of starting up, enabling a capital investment program that grew the rest of the organization's gross receipts by over 150% the following year, and surpassing a $2M, 2-year revenue target in the first 9 months for a North American expansion of a UK based firm, thus establishing a strong foothold in a tightly held and highly competitive market. Jon earned his Bachelor's Degree, with honors, from San Jose State University, attending evening classes while working full time. He holds certificates from a range of sales development, management and skills enhancement programs. Jon incorporates their diverse ideas into a single, comprehensive, and usable format. A powerful outgoing personality with strong critical thinking and strategic planning skills, he enjoys uncovering and implementing solutions to the most complex obstacles to revenue growth, motivating and mentoring sales teams, and speaking to a wide range of audiences on enhancing sales performance.
